THE POSITION

As an IT Manager: Compute Engineer (Server, Storage, Patching) at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the compute infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and patching activities. Your role will involve ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems, as well as implementing and maintaining best practices for server and storage management.

You will report directly to our Data Center & Infrastructure Leader and work out of our Morris Plains, NJ, Charlotte, NC, or Houston, TX locations on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our server and storage systems, ensuring they align seamlessly with the organization's evolving requirements. Your expertise in compute engineering, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to address complex technical challenges will be critical in maintaining our digital environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee the compute infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and patching activities
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems
• Implement and maintain best practices for server and storage management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements
• Monitor the performance of our server and storage systems, ensuring swift resolution of technical challenges
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, facilitating knowledge transfer and standardization

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in compute engineering, server management, and storage management
• Proficiency in server and storage administration, with a proven track record of accomplishments
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Prior experience in infrastructure automation technologies
• Strong vendor management skills & experience working across geographies

WE VALUE

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Prior experience with storage like Nasuni is a plus
• Experience in patch management and vulnerability remediation
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in compute engineering
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead system upgrade initiatives
