A Brief Overview

As the site Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site. The CI Engineer will effectively utilize project achievements, training, Kaizen, data analysis, and leadership skills to deliver results. Projects will include, but are not limited to, changeover reduction, cycle time improvement, capability studies, throughput optimization, cost reduction, variation reduction, waste reduction, and improving line efficiencies. This role will be highly accountable for delivering productive results that have a positive impact on the bottom line.

What you will do

  • Works with all levels of associates by utilizing a hands-on approach to creating value and buy-in as the lead change facilitator for the continuous improvement efforts at the site.
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, and training to project teams on the use and practice of Voyant's Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies and tools.
  • Leads tiered management meetings.
  • Quantifies and prioritizes opportunities by savings potential with site Finance and OpEx teams.
  • Directs and supports site OpEx resources to drive CI activities to improve safety, manufacturing throughput, cost structure, and waste reduction.
  • Demonstrates excellence in safety protocols and best practices.
  • Exemplifies Voyant's Vision and Values.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)


Experience Qualifications

  • 4-6 years Experience in a CI or OpEx role in a manufacturing environment (Required)
  • 4-6 years Must have proven experience implementing change using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods and practices (Required)
  • 4-6 years Must have Project Management experience (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years Must have knowledge of FDA, EPA and cGMP requirements (Required)
  • 4-6 years Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Required)
  • 4-6 years Must be very flexible, able to work on multiple projects at once, and switch priorities with little advance notice (Required)
  • 4-6 years High speed packaging process knowledge preferred (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years Able to teach and mentor at all levels (Required)
  • 4-6 years Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required)
  • 4-6 years Proficient use of MS Office including, Excel, PowerPoint and Word (Required)
  • 4-6 years High attention to detail and accuracy (Required)
  • 4-6 years Experience with Minitab or other statistical software preferred (Required)
  • 4-6 years Experience with ERP systems preferred (Preferred)


Licenses and Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC (Required)
