Sr Consultant, Business Process Management (Finance)

Work Model: Hybrid

Major Duties:

  • Work closely with other developers to design and develop functional, performing and complete features, systems, APIs for full scale application development
  • Constantly update/upskill to look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution and by challenging the status quo
  • Work with other developers on the team, specifically with code reviews
  • Understand and resolve application vulnerabilities
  • Adhere to Northern Trust Enterprise Security standards while building the application
  • Decipher existing software systems and platforms and hook in applications to applicable data sources
  • Actively plan and complete the story development planned for release/ deployment
  • Stick to the stories defined and ensure proper code coverage
  • Work closely with Quality Engineering Team and product owners
  • Provides on-going project/product/application support and assists in project planning by estimating and managing work effort.
  • Act as a troubleshooter and conducts feasibility studies and defines and designs system requirements for complex data processing projects.
  • Handle complicated technical scenarios and propose technical solution options
  • Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews

Knowledge and Experience:

  • You bring 7 - 12+ years of experience with MS Power Tools, SQL, Python and Java.
  • You are skilled in writing JAVA based processing, Web application Security.
  • You are skilled in working with one of the modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular)
  • You have a strong understanding of APIs and how to use them in practice.
  • You have strong understanding of relational database concepts and have good hands-on writing queries in SQL
  • You have experience with continuous integration and collaboration tools like Azure ADO, GitHub, GitHub Actions and Confluence.
  • You have strong experience with unit testing and test automation tools and frameworks.
  • You have experience in Domain Driven Design Development.
  • You have exposure to writing Our tech space: Java Hibernate/ ReactJS / Kafka / MS Power Tools/ / Oracle / Pivotal Cloud Foundry
  • Your exposure to Document Management / Workflow software is a plus

Salary Range:
$83,100 - 141,300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
