CBP Marketing and PR Specialist

Job Description Summary: D&G is looking for a talented early/mid-career Marketing and PR Specialist to support Customs & Border Protection (CBP) to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to develop and execute campaigns utilizing a variety of tactics including but not limited to events, email, outbound tactics, webinars, digital, and content syndication

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear, compelling content to support campaign interaction points: email, landing pages, event messaging, online and offline campaigns
  • Partner with creative and marketing operations to ensure successful execution of plans
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and research to evaluate the effectiveness of internal and external communication strategies, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with federal team to create messaging strategies that can be customized and personalized for outreach
  • Adopt a data driven approach to everything you do; track, measure, and analyze all promotional activity performance
  • Consistently test and enhance marketing activities through measurement and optimization
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative environment that encourages information sharing, team-based success, and a strong focus on results
  • Provide actionable recommendations to enhance communication performance, ensuring alignment with CBP OFO's strategic objectives and mission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including communications, marketing, and policy experts, to develop data-driven strategies for stakeholder engagement and public outreach.
  • Assist in the creation of detailed reports and presentations on communication performance metrics, highlighting key insights and future opportunities.
  • Monitor communication and public relations trends, providing thought leadership on best practices and emerging tools to inform future campaigns.
  • Support the implementation of innovative communication solutions that effectively engage key audiences, including government partners, industry stakeholders, and the public.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and optimizing marketing programs and running omni-channel marketing campaigns
  • State + local or federal experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with digital and offline marketing tactics including, but not limited to events, email, paid social, website, SEO, and content syndication
  • Experience writing and creating campaign assets with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills
  • Highly adaptable to changing priorities
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed goals
  • Up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, marketing operations tools and best practices

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain CBP Suitability Clearance
  • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (ie., U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Location: This is a remote position with an occasional onsite requirement in the Washington, D.C. Must be able to comfortably commute to Washington DC on an as needed basis.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year Apply Salary Minimum: 90000Salary Maximum: 110000
