Job: Lab Tech

Shift: Days (Monday-Friday 6:00pm - 2:30pm )

Location: Mar Petcare (Fort Smith, AR)

Exciting opportunity to join the site R&D team at Mars Petcare in Quality & Food Safety function as Lab Technician. The role is working on quality system operation and supervision, ensuring quality management system implementation in factories and compliance with MARS QMP & regulatory.

What are we looking for?

  • Food science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent BSc/ MSc degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality management system - FSSC22000, and quality program GMP/ Hygienic design, familiar with legal food safety requirement, food process technology.
  • Problem solving skill and systematic thinking
  • Communication and influencing skill

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Drive the implementation of GMP on-site in compliance with the Mars GMP/ GHP standard, including GMP for production/ engineering and contractor, etc.
  • Document control system management including the Nexus system.
  • Develop the quality system training material and training plan and follow the implement
  • CAPA system follow up to make sure all CAPA are not overdue.
  • Prepare the management review report material.
  • Verify the system procedure and regulation requirement compliance in process.
  • Coordinate change management assessment in site level.
  • Complete any other projects assigned by QA Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to quickly respond.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces
  • Computer / IPad literate with the ability to enter, record, maintain, and retrieve data.
