Pipeline Design Senior Engineer (Finance)



RINA is currently recruiting for a Pipeline Design Senior Engineer to join its office in Chicago or Lisle, IL within the Plant Engineering Division. This position may also work from our Houston, TX or Sunrise, FL office. Candidates residing in the USA seeking remote work may also be considered.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 commensuarte with experience and geographic location

Mission

The Senior Pipeline Design Engineer leads RINA's pipeline design program by overseeing and performing engineering design work on natural gas and petroleum pipelines, facilities, and related structures to meet client and industry specifications. The Senior Pipeline Design Engineer will train and mentor staff and manage subconsultant design work.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee and conduct planning and design of natural gas piping and related aboveground facilities for Distribution and Transmission pipelines
  • Understand and apply client and industry engineering specifications to projects
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor technical staff
  • Interact with client's management and engineer department to facilitate project efforts
  • Project management and supervisory support
  • Provide engineering support to underground and above ground gas storage facilities
  • Participate in new business development activities - developing proposals, conducting client presentations, exploring opportunities for additional revenue and projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience in natural gas or pipeline industry
  • Professional Licensed Engineer or the ability to obtain a PE license required
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering practices
  • Thorough understanding of Gas Industry specifications and 49 CFR Parts 191 & 192
  • In-depth knowledge of technical specifications for bidding documents
  • Familiarity with resource management and scheduling
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided design software and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to travel 15% may be required based upon business need
