Facilities Supervisor (Maintenance)
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee and manage critical aspects of our facility's operations. This individual will take the lead in ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment across our property while supporting business continuity through facility oversight and emergency readiness. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with a strong background in building security, safety systems, emergency preparedness, and facilities management.
Schedule: Must be available to support 24-hour facility operations, including on-call availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team to supervise and manage building security operations, including access control systems, surveillance, and vendor coordination. Responsible for staff scheduling for proper coverage.
- Serve as the primary liaison with local emergency services, law enforcement, fire department, and other local authorities
- Lead incident response efforts and ensure proper documentation and investigation of all facility-related emergencies or safety incidents
- Oversee safety systems, including fire suppression, alarms, emergency lighting, and compliance testing.
- Maintain all physical security systems devices and controls.
- Ensure 24/7 facility readiness by supporting and scheduling appropriate coverage for emergencies and urgent issues
- Deliver and support regular safety training and drills for staff and departments
- Monitor and enforce safe work practices across the facility; conduct audits and corrective actions as necessary
- Manage facilities-related budget and expenditures, including forecasting, cost control, and vendor contracts
- Assist with physical property management, including liability risk assessments
- Collaborate with internal teams including HR, Operations, and EHS to uphold safety and security protocols
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for inspections, compliance reports, and training records
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in facilities management, building security, or related field
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a 24/7 operation preferred
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, etc.)
- Familiarity with emergency response protocols and coordination with public safety agencies
- Excellent communication, documentation, and investigative skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and respond to urgent matters calmly and effectively
- Budget management and vendor coordination experience
- Proficiency in MS Office and facilities management software/tools
