A Brief Overview
The Continuous Improvement Manager leads and supports teams in driving operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. This role is responsible for identifying and eliminating barriers to process efficiency, implementing strategic improvement projects, and developing a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. With a focus on data-driven decision-making and employee engagement, the CI Manager ensures alignment with organizational goals to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

What you will do

  • Lead and facilitate improvement teams across the plant, utilizing tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow Mapping, PFMEA, and Kaizen. Develop and maintain scorecards and reporting tools to track project activities, progress, and cost reductions.
  • Drive the successful development and execution of OPEX/Lean Manufacturing projects aligned with site goals and priorities. Collaborate with leadership to identify high-impact improvement opportunities.
  • Train and educate team members on Lean tools and processes, ensuring engagement and alignment across all levels of the organization. Mentor CI Assistants and other employees in using Lean methodologies effectively.
  • Analyze and communicate business data to leadership, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Monitor and proactively address KPIs to prevent substandard outputs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Share best practices across sites and document all improvement projects systematically for knowledge transfer. Work closely with finance to validate project values and impact.
  • Establish and maintain monthly progress reviews with site leadership.
  • Communicate project updates to all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Some duties may vary slightly by location.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. (Preferred) 


Experience Qualifications

  • 4-6 years' experience in manufacturing, with a focus on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. (Preferred)

  • Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. (High proficiency)

  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and leadership abilities. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to influence and motivate teams across all organizational levels. (High proficiency)
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and changing priorities. (Medium proficiency)


Licenses and Certifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (Preferred) or
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Preferred)
