Manufacturing Test Engineer III (Engineering)

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer III at F5, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our hardware products through the design and implementation of robust manufacturing test strategies. You will work closely with contract manufacturers (CMs), internal engineering teams, and quality assurance to support the successful launch and sustainment of F5's cutting-edge hardware solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive manufacturing test plans and validation procedures for new hardware products.
  • Train and certify contract manufacturing (CM) personnel on test standards, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CM-related test issues, driving timely resolution of recurring problems and ensuring minimal production disruption.
  • Independently manage complex assignments with minimal supervision, using sound judgment and evaluation to determine the best course of action.
  • Collaborate across teams, influencing closely related functions to ensure alignment and efficiency in test processes.
  • Identify and document opportunities for improvement in manufacturing test engineering processes and lead initiatives to implement business process enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, preferably in a high-tech hardware environment.
  • Strong understanding of test development, validation, and automation for electronic hardware.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chain partners.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and training skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

The annual base pay for this position is: $83,316.00 - $124,974.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
