The Member Service Specialist serves as the first point of contact for Members, vendors, and guests, providing exceptional hospitality and support. This position is responsible for assisting Members with their immediate needs. This may include, but not limited to, answering phones, checking vendors in and out, giving information on the facility, products and services, assisting with reservations, and collecting payments. This position may also assist with daily facility checks to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

ESsential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
§ Greet and check vendors in and out daily, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols
§ Maintain and update Member files to ensure accuracy and completeness
§ Responding to member questions and needs via phone, email and in person
§ Conduct daily facility and restroom checks to uphold cleanliness and safety standards
§ Deal with conflict effectively, courteously, and tactfully
§ Provide information on marina products and services
§ Provide excellent hospitality and customer service
§ Available to work weekends and overtime when required
§ Other duties as assigned by Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
§ Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
§ Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area
§ Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements
§ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
§ Prior marina experience preferred
§ Prior experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
§ Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
§ Ability to sit for long periods of time
§ Ability to lift 10 pounds
