T-25 Stockroom TLS - 1st Shift (Finance)

The Stockroom TLS has the overall responsibility to organize, prioritize, and coordinate activities for purchasing, receiving, P.O. management and inventories associated with maintenance parts and supplies managed within our MRO system. This position will lead the part room attendant team to including development of functional, team, and personal goals. Responsible for assessing the overall plant maintenance and supply needs, the allocation of appropriate people resources to ensure inventory levels are maintained at pre-determined levels required to support the manufacturing process. Serves as the focal point for sourcing of items to maintain production from suppliers who can deliver products on time and at the best price available while maintaining quality. This role is also responsible for assisting in the monitoring and controlling of the maintenance budget.
This is a 1st shift role (7A-3P).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop individual team members to maximize their level of contribution to the team and business.
  • Organizing, prioritizing and directing the overall crib attendant team to support daily operations and Project teams.
  • Working with parts vendors to order items needed for building/ Maintenance operations.
  • Perform the duties related to the control, documentation and management of part room transactions within SAP
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager in the administration of the Performance Management Process (PMP).
  • Monitors the building maintenance budget and works within said budget.
  • Issue Safe Work Permits for activities in the building.
  • Monitor and report key Part Room KPIs ensuring compliance to the maintenance play book
  • Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the team members (job assignments, vacation requests, accumulated time off, training schedules, etc.)
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management software such as SAP
  • Participate in basic and advanced problem-solving initiatives intended to support site continual improvement, knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance and or Lean initiatives are desired.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • High School diploma required
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in inventory and MRO management
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies
  • Proven track record of safe work with demonstrated safety leadership examples.
  • Working knowledge of industrial parts.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems as it pertains to maintenance and operations a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • TPM/Lean knowledge and application, including continual improvement process application.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of site teams effectively in oral and written communication.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job. This includes lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis and up to seventy-five (75) pounds occasionally, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and daily.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to take control of situations and follow them through to a successful result.
  • Proactive mind-set, decision making ability and flexibility are important as well as the ability to work under just in time pressures.
