Accounting Manager (Finance)

This role is responsible for performing general duties for the facility/company. This may include journal entries, analysis, reconciliation, policy interpretation and application, financial statements, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Job manages a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage the team.

• Job leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.

• Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly closing. Prepare and/or review all standard month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forward, and flux analysis for corporate entities, and work closely with corporate SAP team to validate system data.

• Review and approve, providing corrective feedback as necessary, accounts payables within approved limits.

• Participate in a variety of audits, including financial and inventory, by collecting required documentation, performing physical counts, and other activities as directed.

• Participate in the preparation of corporate entity annual budgets and periodic forecasts, prepare ongoing monthly and year-to-date budget analysis for management review, analysis and decision making.

• Provide analysis and insight, from an accounting perspective, during regularly scheduled reviews of actuals and budget and to identify potential root causes and make recommendations for corrective action.

• Prepare a variety of routine and specialized reports for management use in analyzing efficiencies and profitability or as requested by customers.

• Prepare and submit various government census data.

• Support the internal tax compliance process by providing requested accounting schedules and documents

• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in related field is preferred.

• Prior experience working with an enterprise resource program, specifically SAP

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

• BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.

Work Environment

• Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.

• Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.

• This role does not require any domestic travel

• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds

• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
