This is a hybrid role with 2 days remote per week. Located at our Buffalo, NY facility.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist or HR Coordinator to support a wide range of Human Resources functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills, a foundation in employee relations and onboarding, and a desire to grow into a well-rounded HR professional. You will collaborate closely with HR team members and business leaders to deliver high-impact, people-focused solutions that support our employees and organizational goals.

Your role:

  • Support core HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, data analysis, and HR operations.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business managers to support initiatives related to employee engagement, performance management, and compliance.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new employees.
  • Assist with employee relations matters by preparing documentation, tracking issues, and supporting resolution processes.
  • Manage and analyze HR data using Excel and HR systems; create reports to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR processes are compliant, consistent, and efficient.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of HR programs, processes, and policies.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for employees and managers on day-to-day HR topics.
  • Stay informed on HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends to support continuous improvement.

What you bring to the role:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization, etc.)
  • Experience or exposure to employee relations and handling sensitive information with professionalism
  • Previous involvement in onboarding or new hire orientation processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn all aspects of HR
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools (HRIS) is a plus

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of Human Resources experience, ideally in a generalist or coordinator role
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a variety of HR programs or projects
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $53,500.00 - $85,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
