Global Market Research and Forecasting Manager (Biotech)

A Brief Overview

The Global Market Research and Forecasting Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining global market forecasts, leading physician primary market research, and supporting competitive intelligence efforts. This role plays a critical part in shaping strategic decisions by delivering actionable insights and ensuring forecast accountability across the organization

What You Will Do

  • Analytics & Forecasting:
    • Lead the development and quarterly updates of the global market sizing and 5-year forecast models.
    • Align regional inputs and assumptions to ensure consistency and transparency.
    • Present and defend forecast assumptions and outputs to senior leadership.
  • Primary Marketing Research:
    • Lead the annual global physician ATU (Awareness, Trial, Usage) study and other brand health tracking initiatives.
    • Translate research findings into strategic recommendations for brand and franchise teams.
    • Manage end-to-end research processes including vendor selection, survey design, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Competitive Intelligence:
    • Collaborate with the Global Marketing Intelligence Analyst to assess quarterly earnings and strategic shifts.
    • Support Sr. Director, Global Market Intelligence in the analysis of market and competitor intelligence to identify market trends; evaluate impact of competitive activity on forecasting/sizing model
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with regional marketing, finance, R&D, and commercial teams to ensure integrated planning.
    • Support ad hoc strategic projects and executive requests with data-driven insights.

 Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
  • 3-5 years of related financial, marketing, insights, data analytics, or industry experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on forecasting experience (pharmaceutical, medical device, health/beauty, CPG, finance, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and synthesize data into actionable insights

 Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel experience (Visual Basic, macros)
