About the Role
Were looking for an experienced DAS Technician to join our Technical Services team. Youll be responsible for the advanced installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), including public safety (ERRCS) and commercial in-building wireless solutions. The ideal candidate is hands-on in the field, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is eager to grow while mentoring junior team members.
What Youll Do
Lead DAS installations: coax, CAT6, and fiber cable runs, antenna placements, and head-end setups.Interpret and redline RF design documents, iBwave files, and construction drawings to reflect field conditions.Perform and analyze Line/Sweep, PIM, CW Testing, and OTDR testing to ensure system performance and compliance.Commission, optimize, and integrate DAS solutions from leading OEMs (CommScope, Corning, JMA, SOLiD, ADRF, Comba, Fiplex, etc.).Collect ATP data and provide accurate documentation (redlines, daily reports, test results, closeout packages).Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.Conduct site walks, system audits, and post-deployment verifications.Support and train junior technicians in DAS best practices and safety.Collaborate with Project Managers, RF Engineers, and GC teams to meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
What You Bring
35+ years of hands-on DAS installation and commissioning experience.Proficiency with test equipment such as Anritsu, EXFO, PCTel, IBFlex scanner, SeeHawk, NEMO Walker Air UE, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals, signal propagation, and ERRCS/NFPA code compliance.Experience with commissioning platforms and RF software for major OEMs.OSHA 30, RF Safety, and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel (occasional nights/weekends required).Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in rooftops/lifts/confined spaces.
