Public Area Attendant (Full and Part-Time Seasonal) Winter 2025/26 (Manufacturing)



Summary

Clean public areas of the resort, guest check in, conference room, public bathrooms etc. Responsible to maintain a level of cleanliness in the housekeeping area and wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees job is to get and keep guests. A key part of every employees job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity. This part-time seasonal position will estimate ~25 work hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize public areas using established practice and procedure.

Wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. Launder cleaning rags etc..

Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean recycling and trash containers.

Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties others may be added as necessary.

Check all public trash bins.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:

Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.

Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.

Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.

Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.

Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.

Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities with staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

WORK SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT

Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred. High school diploma or General Education Degree..

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate measurements, amounts such as amount of cleaning solution to use, proportions, percentages and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

Employees must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, injury, etc.); and possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
