Position Purpose
As a member of the therapy team, the Occupational Therapist Assistant's primary function is to provide Occupational Therapy under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
Qualifications
Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Illinois under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
Member or eligible for membership in the AOTA preferred.
General knowledge and therapy skills enabling the treatment of a wide variety of conditions and ages from neonates, pediatrics, young adults, adults and geriatrics.
Current certification in CPR and other service line-specific competencies.
Essential Job Functions
Gather and review information prior to initiating treatment
Provide recommended, evidence-based treatment as established in the therapy plan of care.
Documentation, reporting, and information dissemination.
Determine the effectiveness of the treatment and communicate results.
Demonstrate Quality and Service Excellence
Demonstrate behaviors that show a positive attitude, empathy, and professionalism.
Demonstrate interpersonal skills by making customers feel welcome and respected as individuals; protecting their privacy and confidentiality.
