We are seeking an experienced professional with the emerging skills of the future to be a Director, HR Business Partner supporting teams across the Finance and Actuarial Community. You will partner with the Senior Business Leaders, SLT, People Team Squad members, People Team CoEs, and HR Delivery to implement strategies, based on the business and functional strategy, focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, culture, and engagement. You will support teams at the PFI level Globally and functionally within the empowered teams' model.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business in our Newark, NJ office. While a hybrid work arrangement is strongly preferred, remote candidates with the ability to travel to Newark periodically will be considered. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

  • Be an active member of the Leadership Team(s) for the Controllers and Global P&A organizations responsible for creating and driving the talent strategy to deliver business objectives.

  • Own the business relationship; have a solid understanding of the business and functions to advise leaders on organizational design and effectiveness – with an eye towards identifying, building, and sustaining a capability led organization.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and “day-to-day” coach to the senior leaders in assigned organizations.

  • Build impactful senior leadership teams to increase engagement and productivity for the organization.

  • Deliver on talent priorities by partnering with squad and COE partners, utilizing tools and resources from the CoEs

  • Use talent data to develop and measure relevant and valuable talent strategies and solutions.

  • Direct and enable senior business leaders to fulfill all cyclical processes: annual compensation process, performance management, talent and succession planning and the Engagement Quotient (EQ)

  • Establish and maintain constructive relationships with key partners across the Prudential People Team; collaborate and build alignment cross-functionally to ensure we are bringing to bear Prudential's People Team capabilities.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years progressive HR experience with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner

  • Demonstrated leadership experience collaborating with senior leaders to influence and execute on business strategy with a focus on talent management, organizational effectiveness, culture transformation and employee engagement.

  • Talent Capabilities and Expertise: relevant experience in talent management, organizational effectiveness/design, change management and coaching; proven ability to expand & execute on talent strategy.

  • Influence with Impact: successful in influencing leaders and employees in making the right talent and business decisions to drive business outcomes; demonstrates a combination of impeccable verbal and written communication skills, advanced emotional intelligence, and savvy navigation of complex business structures.

  • Consultative Problem Solving: ability to identify and develop solutions with the business, CoEs and enterprise goals in mind; willing to articulate own point of view.

  • Culture and Inclusion: focus on creating an environment of honesty, inclusion, and respect for others; championing differing ideas and perspectives; a history in helping leaders build and retain inclusive and engaged teams.

  • Data & Talent Analytics – Insights: leverage data and analytics to drive valuable People and business outcomes; drives utilization of metrics for measuring outcomes and organizational success.

It'd be a plus if you had:

  • BA/BS from an accredited college/university preferred; advanced degrees and/or HR certifications are a plus.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $152,500.00 to $206,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
  • Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
