Supervisor, School Based Services (Finance)

SCOPE OF ROLE

Reporting to the Manager, School-Based Services, the Supervisor, School-Based Services provides clinical and administrative supervision to a team of school based counselors. The Supervisor, School-Based Services supports the Manager in the areas of program development and community outreach. The Supervisor, School-Based Services will develop relationships with school administration and teaching and will be responsive to their needs and concerns. The Supervisor, School-Based Services will ensure the quality of, and commitment to, excellent treatment within the school-based setting.

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED

  • Effectively manage and oversee the daily objectives of the school-based behavioral health provider team in designated schools, as identified by the Manager, across all schools.
  • Tracks school paid students, monitoring monthly billing and utilization of school resources, as delegated by Manager.
  • Oversees team member's individual performance, which should include ongoing coaching, development, and meeting objectives through the annual review process.
  • Lead by example by provide ongoing communication, teaching, and training to team members.
  • Actively lead team meetings and process improvement initiatives to continuously improve work productivity, quality and efficiency of the team.
  • Plan and oversee school-based clinical care operations and programs, including the development of treatment plans and documentation/progress notes.
  • Provide leadership to the school-based behavioral health services staff through appropriate decision-making, work assignment allocations, supervision, reviews, consultation, training and support.
  • Assist in resolving client grievances related to the school-based services teams.
  • Provide expertise to team members when dealing with crisis intervention.
  • Ensure school-based behavioral health staff practice is within scope of their respective licensing/certifying boards.
  • Provide the team with clinical training opportunities for continuous development.
  • Monitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards; ensures maintenance of clinical documentation of school-based behavioral health staff in accordance with OMHAS standards and school contract obligations.
  • Tracks key performance indicators, to show trends, recognize successful performance by staff members, and uncover potential problem areas in the school-based practice.
  • Assist in the strategic planning and implementation of growth strategies for school-based services.
  • Act as a representative of Signature Health to the schools and communities.
  • As necessary, maintain appropriate caseload to facilitate and meet school contract/student needs and expectations.
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Master's Degree required.
  • Valid unencumbered license in the state of Ohio required; Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Professional Clinical Counselors (PCC) required.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Behavioral Health field required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management success strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in, providing services to, or treating school-based clients preferred.
  • Extensive experience in the treatment and care of children, adolescents and/or adults with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Strong clinical skills in developing treatment plans, writing progress notes and conducting psychosocial assessments.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office/clinical work environment.
  • While hours of operation are generally standard, flexibility to work evenings and extended hours may be required.
  • Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work.
  • Hearing: adequate to hear clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
  • Speaking: adequate to speak to clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
  • Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Physical effort required: occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds, unassisted.
  • Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing job duties.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday.
  • Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.
