Construction Loan Analyst (Finance)

Responsibilities
Analyzes, organizes, initiates, and processes the setup and maintenance of construction loans.

Essential Functions
1. Reviews signed loan documentation on new construction loans for consistency with loan approval.
2. Ensures accuracy and integrity of loan data: set-up information, including all necessary codes and risk rating assignments; makes corrections as necessary.
3. Tracks missing loan documentation and communicates with the appropriate internal and external contacts for resolution.
4. Prepares credit facility memorandums as needed.
5. Prepare portfolio reports for management.
6. Assist with pre-screening of prospects, and maintain all prospect documentation and files.
7. Secures documents for construction requisitions and loan documents for adherence to contractual obligations.
8. Assists with disbursements on construction loans to include ordering title rundowns, inspections, and determine available funds for disbursement based upon bank policy.
9. Prepare documentation for advances on lines of credit.
10. Monitors project budget adequacy.
11. Informs Construction Lending Manager of needed budget reallocations.
12. Works with auditors providing documentation and loan files.
13. Secures and prepares new construction loan applications.
14. Tracks UCC financing statements and files continuations as needed.
15. Maintains working knowledge of NYS contractor and lending laws.

Ancillary Functions
Assures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements.Provides cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank where service or assistance is needed. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Mandatory Training Curricula
Training is required of all Bank staff as related to regulatory mandated compliance topics and courses required for specific job functions. Career enhancement training courses are also available. Please refer to course catalog and management for details.

Skills
Clearly communicates in English;proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills;proficient interpersonal relations;Knowledge of lending regulations and documentation requirements;Knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact lending;Knowledge of all features and benefits related to lending products and services;organizational skills with the ability to multi task;Moderate PC skills, including Microsoft Office and loan processing software.

Physical Demand
The physical and related demands described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job is mostly sedentary in nature, but may occasionally involve lifting files and other materials that weigh up to 20 lbs. Employees in this job must be able to work in an office environment during regular business hours where they come into regular and frequent contact with internal and external customers and other members of the public. Therefore, employees in this position are expected to have consistently positive interactions with the public.
