Manager, Operations & Supply Chain (Project Management)



  • Ensure that the employees and facility align to achieve a safe environment
  • Drive continuous improvement in all operational areas
  • Ensure quality is built into each product that is assembled, machined or purchased.
  • Ensure that the production schedule is modified and achieved as needed to meet customer demand.
  • Manage human capital to facilitate the production of all products on time and without defect.
  • Understand both machine and human capacity.  Envision, recommend and implement employee, facility and equipment improvements to improve productivity.
  • Facilitate quality improvement with cross functional teams and assist in resolving the quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Support meeting annual production and performance goals.
  • Ensure that the cleanliness and safety of our facility is positive for employee retention and on boarding, and is a closing point on all Customer tours.
  • Set Department budgets and ensure functions are aware and achieving them.
  • Effectively plan manpower and overtime to ensure deliveries are met with the best combination of human capital.
  • Be knowledgeable, follow, and ensure all company policies are being followed and applied consistently across all functions.
  • Facilitate cross training of employees for flexibility and career growth.
  • Complete all Performance reviews for direct reports and support the completion of direct report reviews for their individual teams.
  • Assist with interviews, both behavioral and cognitive, for prospective employees.
  • Promote good housekeeping practices and a safe workplace.
  • Perform monthly safety inspections and lead safety programs and training on the plant floor.
  • Open/close shop and or office as needed.
  • Conduct meetings and training as needed.
  • Travel when required.

  • Bachelors degree in related field of study or equivalent previous experience in manufacturing environment
  • Must have at least (8) eight years experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Must have at least (5) five years supervisory experience
  • Must possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Must have strong knowledge of machining processes, thorough understand of lean processes and well developed know of manufacturing processes
  • Must be well organized, possess leadership skills and a proven track record of problem solving and cost management
  • Must possess computer skills (basic office applications) and a full understanding of ERP, JDE preferred
