CNC Machinist (Finance)



CPR CNC Programmer / Machinist

Company seeking a skilled and precise CNC machinist (operator and programmer) to set up and operate a CNC lathe and CNC Bridgeport Mill. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with minimal supervision. Candidate must also understand how to read mechanical blueprints, perform calculations, and program/make cuts with precision to meet quality standards. Fluent in using measuring instruments such as OD/ID Micrometers, vernier/dial calipers, indicators, etc. Previous experience required with the intent of increasing skills during employment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, sketches, sample parts and work instructions to determine dimensions and configurations of cuts, proper selection of cutting tools, machine feed and speed rates; according to knowledge of machine shop processes, materials, machine capabilities and part specifications.
  • Program machine operations using conversational or machine code input on controller.
  • Make required program edits and offsets.
  • Setup and operate machine from programming to part completion.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, instructions, and specifications
  • Regularly clean machinery and equipment as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • The ability to perform basic math and follow instructions.
  • Strong analytical skills, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Calculate angular and linear dimensions, radii, curvatures and organize sequences of operations.
  • Able to complete tasks in a fast-paced job shop environment
  • Excellent attendance required
