Director of Nursing (Healthcare)



Wage DOE: $170k-$180k/year

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Nursing to lead our healthcare team in providing exceptional care and service at Colonial Vista Post Acute. This pivotal role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes patient safety and quality of care. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for developing policies and procedures that align with our organizational goals while managing staffing, budgets, and resource allocation effectively. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all nursing operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance nursing practices and patient care.
  • Recruit, train, and manage nursing staff, providing professional development and mentorship.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and quality of care, making necessary adjustments to improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Manage departmental budgets, including staffing, supplies, and resources.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any staff issues or concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; a Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement processes.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective nursing programs and policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on team collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
