The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Strategic Solutions Executive will consult with leadership to set medium to long term strategic sales direction for targeted market segments in the international business unit. With their industry expertise and relationships, they will support developing business and sales strategies designed to create solutions for complex and multi-faceted health systems ensuring alignment between C-level executive needs and Solventum's HIS business focus.

A successful candidate will be highly motivated, work effectively with internal teams and customer teams with the ability to synthesize complex issues and develop and execute vision and strategy to large complex health systems while ensuring alignment between HIS business leaders, sales and marketing.

This role will require the candidate to plan, organize, teach and strategize around different country needs to support targeted sales activities and initiatives, including the management of account development programs and/or functional disciplines/roles within the sales organization.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consults with leadership team to assess current portfolio within targeted countries and to assist each business director to expand the portfolio, assist with sales messaging and training as needed for medium to long-term strategic sales direction in medium to large complex healthcare market(s).
  • Develops business and sales strategies designed to create solutions for complex and multi-faceted customer needs. Interprets industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to develop services programs and deliver those programs to largest, complex health systems.
  • Works directly with business and marketing on functional strategic planning and sales messaging/training for software, services and account development programs.
  • Recognized and delivers industry thought leadership presentations to establish Solventum's presence at the C-Level.
  • Creates solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.
  • Assesses and understands different payment methodologies around clinical documentation and coding (international experience a plus)
  • Assesses and understands customer organizations culture and dynamics quickly and accurately to customize delivery of solutions to meet their needs and become a trusted advisor to the most complex customers.
  • Has responsibility for establishing and monitoring multiple concepts relative to the function. Working tasks might include:
  • Develops sales strategies for new and existing integrated software and services and solutions to existing market targets and expanding target markets.
  • Adjusts sales and marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions for a medium to large complex market/product line(s)/category or account development programs
  • Research and analyzing healthcare business issues, legislation/regulation and other content using a variety of media.
  • Understands and influences external decision makers at the highest account level. Directly works with external high level decision makers to capture market needs, gather voice of customer and validate strategic initiatives.
  • Shares best practices with Sales, Marketing and business across the organization.
  • Incumbent typically collaborates with managers, functional leaders and business leaders. Interacts with key external clients to leverage and validate strategic initiatives.
  • Shares vision and demonstrates company values.
  • Negotiates and counsels on an expert level, justifies controversial positions and demonstrates advanced persuasion skills. Interaction involves convincing others to cooperate, grant approval, or take action of a certain kind.
  • Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with Solventum's values and ethical standards.
  • The job also requires performing other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND Minimum of 10+ years experience in healthcare practice
  • Minimum of 7+ years of senior leadership experience in a U.S. or other country healthcare system or related industry business, with C-level contacts and related industry association participation.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with sales strategy
  • 2 years of experience with international healthcare markets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare preferred. Registered Nurse, Health Information Management or other allied health degree from an accredited institution plus:
  • Ability to travel up to 50% internationally
  • Strong preference to have been in a senior level role in healthcare revenue cycle acute care or professional, quality or clinical leadership. Understanding healthcare workflow and revenue is a plus.
  • Proven ability to maintain superior customer and employee relations in a fast-paced forward-thinking environment.
  • Ability to diagnose complex situations advising on solutions to meet market and customer needs. Demonstrates superior leadership and program management skills.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and corporate systems relevant to the assigned area of responsibility is normally required.
  • Generally, requires the ability to communicate in written and spoken English.

Travel: May include travel up to 50% internationally.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $282,832 - $345,683, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
