Software Engineering Senior Advisors- Hybrid (Finance)

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna -Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

• Provide solutions consisting of systems architecture and design, technical specifications, implementation plan and testing methodology to address business needs.
• Work on Public Cloud Smart strategies for Business intelligence and analytics
• products.
• Perform system repairs, upgrades, mitigate security vulnerability, and capacity assessments.
• Perform root cause analysis of system failures and provide corrective actions. Respond to customer inquiries and issues in a timely fashion.
• Evaluate BI reporting system architecture and design, processes and recommend improvements. Implement load balancing, high availability, horizontal scale out architecture on AWS cloud Platform.
• Implement latest technologies available within Cigna for automation BI Processes, CD/CI pipeline, log analyzing for BI Products.
• Automate patching, upgrading, monitoring, alerts and deployments for BI products.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system performance and reliability.
• Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications-

Requires a Master's degree in Computers or Engineering or a related field and 3 years of IT experience. (or Bachelor's degree in Computers or Engineering or a related field and 5 years of IT experience).

Must have experience with:

Developing Web-based and Enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies; working with Teradata tool - CIM and RTIM, Bigdata technologies - HBase, Hive, Kafka; Developing applications using Java, Python, Scala, GraphQL, AngularJS, NodeJS, JavaScript, Spring Rest Services and different design patterns; Developing Email and Text Notification system using Amazon SDK and Twilio SDK; Working on AWS Cloud services like VPC, Route53, LAMBDA, SQS, API Gateway, System Manager, SNS, SQS, S3, ALB, EC2,
Secrets Manager; Building applications using a variety of databases like Postgres, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, RedShift, Teradata; Hosting Business Intelligent Platform such as Tableau and ThoughtSpot on AWS Cloud; Developing infrastructure as a code using Terraform and CloudFormation; Developing CICD pipeline for different application teams to deploy in AWS Cloud; Working with code versioning tools including GitLab, GitHub and build tools including Maven and Please; Being a technical lead for Business Intelligent Platform on AWS Cloud -
Tableau, ThoughtSpot; Gathering requirements and preparing technical specifications and design documents (low-level and high-level) by interacting with clients; Working on functional design document based on client's inputs and obtaining signoff on the design from client architect, business team, and other stakeholders; Shell scripting; Working with SebSphere Application Server 6 and 7, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Rest Services, Spring Listeners, Kafka Messaging API, Solr Server Client, VIS.JS, HTML, CSS, DB2, and Design patterns; Processing XML data using JAXB; Working with code versioning tools including Git and SVN; Working on functional/nonfunctional, integration, and system testing; Building/configuring pipeline for continuous delivery using Jenkins; working on business-driven development (BDD) using JBhehave.
