TA Director of Internal Recruitment & Experience COE - Hybrid (Finance)



The TA Director of Internal Recruitment & Experience COE will play a pivotal role within a high-performing Talent Acquisition team, with the main objective of establishing Cigna as the employer of choice. This position is responsible for building and leading a newly defined Center of Excellence (COE) dedicated to internal talent across the enterprise. The role involves leading a team of experienced recruiters and driving the development and implementation of key Talent Acquisition and Management strategies and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead the Talent Acquisition Internal Recruitment COE, providing strategic direction and situational coaching to a diverse team of seasoned recruiters.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive internal recruitment strategies in collaboration with business leaders to attract and invest in internal talent and support strategic workforce planning needs that positively impact retention.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage change initiatives related tointernal recruitment and internal mobility across HR and the business
  • Utilize metrics and data to inform decision-making and measure the success of internal recruitment strategies, focusing on ROI while maintaining an employee-centric mindset.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team and influence stakeholders across the organization.
  • Oversee performance management for the direct report team to ensure talent development and alignment with broader HR and Cigna strategies. Partners with indirect report team(s) leadership to align on development opportunities and provide insightful feedback.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Proactively build and maintain an internal network of candidates within each business function by identifying and engaging high-potential employees.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with business leaders and HR partners to proactively plan for current and future talent needs, emphasizing skill capabilities, workforce forecasting, and internal mobility.
  • Foster valuable relationships with Talent Management and maintain tight alignment with the Talent Leads across the business, ensuring all strategies and activities are consistently aligned.
  • Ability to build strong working partnerships and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Model strong business acumen and develop relationships with internal partners, leaders, and employees to influence employee attraction, assessment, and internal mobility.

Insights and Solutioning:

  • Leverage market insights and external best practices to establish internal recruitment strategies; accountable for socializing across the enterprise and embedding them into the culture.
  • Develop and refine strategies, processes, and policies related to Internal Recruitment COE, ensuring alignment with broader Talent Acquisition and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management and planning skills, managing work across multiple functions and position types.
  • Focus on achieving measurable results and driving continuous improvement from outcomes and lessons learned.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of HR experience; HRBP or Talent Management experience or Talent Acquisition managerial experience preferred.
  • Prior relevant management experience directly leading teams is highly desired.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking to understand and address complex organizational challenges, considering the interconnections and interdependencies within the enterprise to develop holistic solutions.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a balance of innovation, execution, and risk-taking capabilities.
  • Active listener with a clear and concise communication style tailored to various audiences.
  • Experience influencing outcomes, especially in situations without direct authority.
  • Ability to work successfully in a high-visibility environment and manage complex and sensitive situations independently.
  • Knowledge of strategic workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning preferred.
  • Expert knowledge and track record working with data; strong ability to use data for storytelling and to drive desired outcomes.
  • Track record of flawless execution with superb organizational and follow-up skills; strong ability to prioritize multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, high-demand environment.
  • Passionate about the employee experience and advancing internal mobility.
