Staff Accountant (Finance)

The Staff Accountant, will provide support to the financial department by managing the company's daily accounting tasks. These tasks include the posting of journal entries, reconciling of general ledger accounts, and the preparation and distribution of financial reports. As a key member of the accounting team, the Junior Accountant will contribute to the overall efficiency and progression of the finance department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assist senior accountants in Month End Close Process (Reconciliations, Accruals, Account Analysis)
· Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
· Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
· Assist in the preparation and submittal of state and local tax returns
· Support indirect tax and regulatory fee audits as necessary
· Prepare and compile schedules and other data in support of financial statement and bank audits.
· Maintains accounting controls by following policy and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
· Support efforts by all members of the Leedo Team to continuously improve departmental, location, and company performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, in Accounting
Experience:

5 year of accounting work experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Technically proficient in US GAAP with knowledge of finance, accounting, and internal control principles
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus by not required
