Equipment Maintenance (Finance)
PURPOSE:
Responsible for the prompt minor repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance of material handling equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job Responsibilities Percentage
-Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment (10%)
-Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule (10%)
-Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions. (10%)
-Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety regulations to DC and safety team (10%)
-Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools needed to perform their job (10%)
-Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes (10%)
-Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs (10%)
-Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability (10%)
-Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs (10%)
-Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly (10%)

-Performs other relevant job duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
• 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
• Understanding of Safety guidelines
• Able to read and understand blueprints and technical reference manuals.
• Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work well independently

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
