About the Role

The Sales Engineer - Articulated Arms will be responsible for driving sales and delivering technical expertise for Hexagon's articulated arm solutions. This role requires strong consultative selling, technical demonstration skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers in industries such as aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment, and manufacturing.

This is a remote position based in the Seattle metroplex.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand Hexagon's articulated arm customer base.
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities in key industries.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept trials that highlight ROI and performance benefits.
  • Provide consultative sales support by understanding customer workflows and aligning solutions to their needs.
  • Collaborate with application engineers and product teams to deliver complete metrology solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from pipeline development to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging customer requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of technical sales, applications, or engineering experience in metrology, capital equipment, or industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of articulated arm systems, portable CMMs, or other precision measurement tools.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of developing pipeline, managing sales cycles, and exceeding targets.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the Dallas/Fort Worth region and beyond as needed.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM/CAE software tools and digital manufacturing workflows.
  • Prior experience selling capital equipment in a B2B environment.
  • Background in quality assurance, dimensional inspection, or factory automation.
Work Environment

This is a remote role based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Work will primarily be conducted from a home office environment, requiring extended use of computers and communication tools. Regular travel to customer facilities and industry events is required. Customer site visits may include exposure to manufacturing environments where PPE is necessary.
