Interior Design Materials Library Intern (Finance)

Role description:

We are seeking a passionate and organized Interior Design Summer Intern to support our Interiors Materials Library and design teams within our Places Group.

Our design practices span across corporate, workplace, hospitality, institutional, retail, educational, and healthcare studios. We are dedicated to creating innovative solutions that align with our clients' evolving vision, corporate culture, and project success.

Located at 233 Broadway, NYC, our office occupies an entire floor of the iconic Woolworth Building, steps away from the World Trade Center station, and conveniently accessible by bike or subway. With over 200 employees, our vibrant and collaborative environment fosters creativity and growth.

Role accountabilities:

As an Interior Design Intern, you will have an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects and gain hands-on experience with design processes while focusing on the organization, sourcing, and management of our materials library.

  • Materials Library Management: Help organize and maintain the product sample library to ensure it remains functional, accessible, and up-to-date.
  • Project Support: Assist interior design teams with tasks such as incorporating drawing/rendering mark-ups, sample sourcing, and creating material boards.
  • Liaison with Product Representatives: Communicate with suppliers to request updated samples, catalogs, and materials.
  • Assist with Project Phases: Provide support across various stages of project development, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and timely

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Currently enrolled in an Interior Design program and has completed a minimum of 3 years of coursework.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a fast-paced environment.
  • Preliminary experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Displays strong design and organizational skills.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00 / hour. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
