The Impact You'll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Facilities Operations Supervisor will provide supervision and technical direction to craftspeople for performance of maintenance tasks on machines, systems, or facilities to maximize reliability and runtime of production operations.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Scheduling, assigning, and directing craftspeople in the performance of tasks for maintenance of equipment and/or facilities. Monitoring progress and evaluating completed assignments to confirm use of correct procedures and assess quality of work. Managing direct reports' vacation, sick leave, timekeeping, and coverage gaps as required.
  • Recruiting and leading the selection of new employees for ongoing development of the unit. Training craftspeople in job requirements and technical skills. Recommending and justifying training programs as needed to develop and maintain workforce capabilities.
  • Managing and reporting Maintenance KPIs while ensuring appropriate use of SAP and/or other computerized maintenance record systems to contribute to operational efficiency and assure availability and accuracy of information for future equipment-related decisions.
  • Leading your team toward a culture of safety and quality. Communicating safety and other regulatory requirements to all subordinates, and monitoring operations for compliance to emphasize safety (of employees, the environment, and the physical plant) and quality (of work and product) at all times.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution and two (2) years of combined supervisory and/or technical/craft team leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

  • High School Diploma / GED (completed and verified prior to start) and six (6) years of combined supervisory and/or technical/craft team leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Previous facilities operations/maintenance supervision experience
  • Lean Six Sigma or Project Management experience
  • Good communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • CGMP operation support experience (Drug or Device Manufacturing)

Work location:

  • Onsite - Columbia, Missouri

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $94,018 - $114,911, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
